The fractured unity piece was one of the hardest pieces to complete this term. Last year, I also did a fractured unity piece, however I took a picture of that piece so I had one complete perspective. As a person, I tend to move around a lot, and I have begun reflecting on why this piece, and the pepper piece, was so difficult. At the beginning of the project, I decided to use feathers, and put them in this cornucopia (On right), to create a sense of depth. However, after starting my project, and realized I had taken on too much, I solved the feather problem, and solely focused on the cornucopia. I developed art making skills by testing and exploring my water techniques on different types of watercolor paper. Seeing the different results of the unique texture on my artwork gave me hope that this piece would be a great one. However, as soon as I added the 2 strings on the left, I realized that this had to become an abstract piece.
