This is my Identity piece. Originally, we were going to have an identity unit, but that got thrown out the window for graphic alphabet (see above). My project only took a few days, so I decided to add it into my project. I used iPhoto, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop, which are all digital design mediums that I haven't really used as an artist since freshman year. to create this piece that shows me in 5 different facets. Originally, I had no idea what to do for this project But I realized: what's more me, than a self-portrait. Your face, is your identity. While this picture, doesn't especially show my normal facial expression, it was neutral, which is what I was going for. I read a book, where the characters have certain emotions tied to them, and they have colored dots on their wrists. I colored my self-portrait in the 5 colors of their dots, representing sorrow, fury, timidness, hope and love. I feel that I contain all of these emotions, and I put them into this graphic design piece.
